 Mayor Xia Geng presides over the opening ceremony. As the largest and most extensive exhibition of consumer electronics all across the Asia-Pacific region, SINOCES has been held for seven times so far. Compared with previous ones, this exhibition features the following highlights: Firstly, the size of the show is significantly increasing. International and domestic consumer electronics and home appliance companies participate in the show with confirmed booths totaling 1509, 14.3 percent up over the previous one, and exhibition area amounting to nearly 40,000 square meters, which is the largest one of its kind. Secondly, the show sees more attendance of famous enterprises. Overseas consumer electronics businesses like Samsung, Canon, Panasonic, Toshiba, Philips, TECO Group and domestic ones such as Haier, Hisense, TCL, Lenovo, Galanz, Aucma have attended the show. Their booths cover nearly 40%, which is the greatest on the record of shows. Thirdly, the buyers are significantly increased. 2009 SINOCES brings together international VIP buyers, domestic key chain stores, Tier II & III market distributors and online stores amounts to over 700, an increase of nearly 20 percent. VIP buyers are doubled. Wal-Mart and Tesco jointly participate in the show for the first time. In addition, online distributors including EBAY, United States AAAOE and Amazon also actively follow suit. Finally, mainstream media’s in-depth coverage surges. It is expected that more than 400 journalists from over150 media cover 2009 SINOCES, an increase of more than 30% over the previous one.

 Mayor Xia Geng learns more about products at exhibition booths.. Additionally, besides previous zones, 2009 SINOCES launches Home Appliances to the Countryside Program Zone, 3G Telecommunications Zone and E-commerce Zone. SINOCES has become China’s only exhibition to establish Home Appliances to the Countryside Program Zone. All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives sent the delegation to attend the show for procurement in combination with Home Appliances to the Countryside Program for the first time.
