With rapid economic development, consumer electronic products are continually updated at high speed, which has resulted in a huge number of "electronic garbage". Governments, consumer electronics businesses and consumers are very concerned　about "electronic environmental protection" and it is one of focuses of China International Consumer Electronics Show. The internal forum "Green Technology Future ", jointly sponsored by USA Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)　and　CHIP, will be held once again during 2009 SINOCES.

2008 SINOCES witnessed the success of "Green Technology Future" that was co-sponsored by CEA and CHIP. Technological and environmental protection experts from the world's top electronics companies like Nokia, Sony, Intel, Epson, Panasonic, Lenovo, together with director of the United States Green Electronics Council, were invited to attend the forum, delivering speeches on green design, green manufacturing, as well as the current situation and prospects of sustainable development.
