Sony, Samsung and other companies continued to unveil OLED display at CES 2009. OLED, featuring superb thinness, light-emitting performance and flexibility, is regarded as the most potential display tech in the future. Sony has been forging ahead with heavy investments in OLED TV technology. By the end of 2007, Sony had successfully unveiled 11-inch OLED set for consumers. Although the set is pricey, it represents a forward leap for the latest display technology. This has stimulated a number of manufacturers to develop OLED Products, and a potential race has taken place quietly. At CES 2008, Sony unveiled its latest 27-inch OLED TV, while Samsung Launched New Low Energy 31″OLED TV and 14-inch OLED TV. The two products surpassed ones made by Sony in size. Two OLED sets showcased by Samsung at CES 2009 used the latest technology, featuring transparency and flexibility. Narrators said that it could be applied to GPS and affixed to windscreen. Sony's 11-inch OLED TV is just 0.3 millimeters thick. Universal Display pushed flexible OLED display at CES 2009, whose size is only 4-inch and will be used in military field. Once flexible OLED displays are mass-produced in the future, OLED passport and OLED folding mobile phone will be unveiled. It is no doubt that PDP and LCD has gradually become out of date, the display future will certainly belong to FED and OLED flat-screen tech.
